The Metro Group Foundation is both an advocacy and implementation corporate foundation focusing on healthcare, education and capacity building, research, climate change, and economic empowerment.
We focus on four key areas- Good health and well-being, quality education, decent work, economic growth and climate action.
The foundation aims to contribute to the SDGs by leveraging on the structures, experience, and partnerships built by the Metro Group Plc in the last 3 decades.
The Metro Group Foundation was officially incorporated in 2022 to harmonize and synergize the community and social activities carried out by The Metro Group PLC and its affiliate companies. The United Nations and other international organizations have raised red flags on the reversal of the gains made under Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs) due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. The two macro issues have severely affected the vulnerable groups in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC) countries due to friable systems.

Dr. Robin Mogere has been actively involved in practicing medicine for the past 30 years and holds an
MBChB from the University of Nairobi and an FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburg.
He previously worked at the Coast General Hospital and Taita Taveta District Hospital. He studied at Guys Hospital for Surgical Training and Specialization, before proceeding to the University of Nairobi as a Lecturer in the Surgery Department. Mr. Mogere has tirelessly served as a board member in the following institutions; Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board, The Nairobi Hospital, and has been the Chairman as well as a board member of the Metro Group PLC since its inception.
