The Metro Group Foundation was founded with the aim of integrating and scaling up community and socioeconomic activities that were previously executed by the TMG Group PLC and its subsidiary companies. Over the last 28 years, we have gained experience and a deeper understanding in relation to fundraising, hospital operations management, digital systems development, community outreaches and supporting communities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Metropolitan hospital a subsidiary of the Metro Group PLC vaccinated more than 50,000 against COVID-19 in 2 counties, offered affordable antigen testing to thousands of organized institutions in 4 counties, conducted training on COVID management for 20 hospitals and offered free NCD screening to several companies, communities and religious institutions.

The aim of the foundation is to build on these experiences through partnerships and leveraging the technical expertise and the transparent TMG PLC structures that are built for resilience and accountability to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs).
