The Metro Group Foundation is the corporate social responsibility division of The Metropolitan Group (TMG) PLC. It was founded nearly three decades ago to improve and broaden health-related community and socioeconomic initiatives previously overseen by TMG Group PLC and its subsidiaries. Throughout the past 28 years of the foundation’s existence, we have accumulated valuable experience and insights in preventive health management, fundraising for health initiatives, and ensuring our efforts align with the hospital’s mission for the holistic benefit of the community.

As we look forward to the years 2025-2027, we are committed to focusing our efforts on two crucial areas that will significantly enhance the well-being of our communities. First, we take decisive action to prevent and manage non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and reproductive cancers, with a particular emphasis on Nairobi County. By targeting our initiatives here, we aim to alleviate the disease burden at both the household and community levels, paving the way for improved health outcomes for the populations we serve.

Additionally, we are dedicated to enhancing road safety in Nairobi. Our strategy includes implementing vital preventive measures to increase the chances of survival for victims of traffic accidents during those critical moments following an incident. To achieve this, we will equip first responders—especially motorbike riders—with essential first aid training, thereby reducing fatalities and improving outcomes in traffic-related emergencies. We are genuinely excited to continue our journey, leveraging our rich history and strong partnerships with the communities we serve, and working closely with the Metropolitan Hospital. Together, we have the power to create a lasting impact on health and safety in our communities!
